Cancellation Policy

Last updated: September 2026

At Mawuena Tech, we understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to keep the process fair and transparent for both our clients and our team.

1. Cancellation Before Work Begins

If you decide to cancel a project before development or work has started, you may request a cancellation by contacting us.

Any refund will depend on whether work has already been completed and any costs that have already been incurred for the project.

2. Cancellation After Work Has Started

Once work has started, cancellation requests may be subject to charges for work already completed.

This may include:

  • Project planning and consultation

  • UI/UX design

  • Software development

  • API and backend development

  • Testing and quality assurance

  • Deployment and configuration

  • Third-party services or other project-related expenses

Any remaining eligible balance will be reviewed and processed according to the terms agreed upon for the project.

3. Deposits and Payments

Project deposits or initial payments may be non-refundable once work has commenced.

For larger projects, payments may be divided into milestones. Cancelling a project after a milestone has been completed does not automatically entitle the client to a refund for that milestone.

The applicable payment and cancellation terms will be communicated before the project begins.

4. Delayed Projects

If a project is significantly delayed because required information, content, approvals, access, or feedback has not been provided by the client, Mawuena Tech may pause the project.

Extended delays may require a revised timeline or project agreement before development resumes.

5. Cancellation by Mawuena Tech

In certain circumstances, Mawuena Tech may cancel or discontinue a project. If this occurs, we will communicate the reason to the client and, where applicable, discuss any eligible refund for work that has not been completed.

6. Third-Party Services

Payments made to third-party providers, including hosting platforms, domain registrars, software subscriptions, APIs, payment providers, or other external services, may be subject to the cancellation and refund policies of those providers.

Mawuena Tech cannot guarantee refunds for third-party charges.

7. How to Request a Cancellation

To request a cancellation, please contact us with:

  • Your name or company name

  • Project name

  • Reason for cancellation

  • Relevant order, invoice, or project reference

We will review the request and respond as soon as reasonably possible.

8. Changes to This Policy

Mawuena Tech may update this Cancellation Policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
